Space Cleaner

Russian developer Victor Kotov came up with the Space Cleaner app in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. In case you don’t know this, the Soviet pilot and cosmonaut was the first human to journey into outer space. It was back in April 12th, 1961, that he completed an orbit of planet Earth. Neil Armstrong may be the first man to step foot on the moon, but Yuri Gagarin is the first man to go into outer space.

So as I was saying, the app was released in honor of the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. The goal in the game is to control a robot and collect the junk that’s floating around in outer space around planet Earth. There is definitely a lot of junk orbiting Earth, junk that you must remove. Apart from the junk there are also some valuable artifacts floating around. Now these are definitely worth catching.

There are in all 29 different items that float around in space around Earth. A description for all of them is available here.

Play the game and you will be able to unlock 5 achievements. These achievements are all linked with the history of the Soviet space race. One achievement is Yuri Gagarin’s Helmet. Details on all the achievements are available here.

Playing the game is a simple enough matter. The controls are smooth and figuring out how to play the game is not an issue. Even novice iOS users will not have a problem getting started with Space Cleaner. I always like it when you don’t have to go through a steep learning curve to get accustomed to an app.
